Ok...I am doing everything in my power right now to keep myself from losing my cool and my mind.
I am so upset and I need all the prayer I can get..not for me but for my loving son and my loving daughter-in-law to be.
They are expecting their first baby as she is already 4 months pregnant. My son and his fiance' own a mobile home in the park I manage, the thing is...the park is a all adult park and today my boss emailed me and jumped me with one bad attitude and said my son and his girlfriend have to move out of the park since they are having a baby. No children allowed!
These two poor souls are both working so hard to make ends meet and with my son working a low paying job, and she is cut back on hours from her job..they barely get by. If it wasn't for the cheap space rent here they wouldn't make it.
They are already struggling as it is now, and now they just got hit with the bad news that they have to give up their home and move.
Here is what boils my blood!! I have several tenants in my park now that are druggies, or they are never on time with their rent or don't pay at all. Bad tenants that party all the time, cause alot of trouble etc. I am trying so hard to evict these people and my boss does absolutely nothing!! She won't evict them saying it is such a tender process and costs too much money. But yet I have the good tenants moving out because of these bad tenants.
Now here is my son and the fiancee' that neither one of them drink, no drugs, no loud parties...very quiet and always pay their rent on time...and they are being kicked out! Not even a eviction...just get out.
I have endlessly devoted my life to this park and gave up my personal time to work here with no vacations no benefits...and get thhis...NO PAY not even a salary...and I have to pay all my utilities. The boss doesn't pay one dime to me. I work my butt off with park maintanance, painting, trimming trees, renting spaces and putting up with alot of crap from these tenants. I do all this for free...and now she wants to kick my son and her with a baby on the way...out on the streets.
My son has done nothing but devote his time to also working in this park with no pay also. He has given so much of himself to this park only to be told to leave.
Now we all have the pain staking task of trying to fix up the trailer that my daughter distroyed so we can sell it so my son will have enough money from the sales of the trailer to at least find another place to live. We will be very lucky if we get $3,000 for it.
Please pray for my son Daniel and his fiance' Danielle that they can get pass this and find a new home to where they can raise this baby. Their hearts are broken as they already had the new nursery set up and ready for the new arrival.
We all thought that since I am the manager that the owner would make a exception and let them stay. I guess I was wrong...we don't count.
Thank you everyone!
God Bless

Kat....It would be so easy to say "do this" or "do that" but, this is definitely a situation that needs all our prayers......and you know you've got them. All my thoughts and prayers will be with you and your son and fiancee. They don't have to leave now, do they? Can't they, at least, have a few more months since she's just 4 months along? Don't worry....you know worry never changes anything.....prayer does. It will all work out.....have faith. We're here for you.

Thank you so much ladies for your prayers,
I have been at this property management now for 6 years and I have saved my boss over thousands of dollars...which made her even more rich.
I have gone into the hole for what I have done for her. Costing myself time and money to please her. I even had to sell MY mobile home here in the park just to survive because I had to pay my utility bills that she won't pay. If I lose this job...I have no where to go. She has me cornered and she knows that, so she takes advantage of it.
The park is been up for sale for about 1 year now, and I might be out of a job when the park sells if the new owners don't need onsite managers. Nobody has even considered buying this park as of yet, but anytime this could take place.
My son has even gave up working a job just so he could devote his time to working here at the park for free for her. This is what he gets in return!
Oh believe me...I have done my homework and after 4 years of studying Law she really can't kick him out. I states that she cannot discriminate against renting to families, but she does and gets away with it. I had turned away so many people because they had children. Believe me...I felt so horrible for doing so, but I have to keep my job...as I need a roof over my head.
By law she is not allowed to state on our sign out front..."Adult Park" California Law says it has to be either 55+ Park or "Family Park".
But what really sucks is..California Law also states that a eviction can be placed on your credit record. With my son starting out so young I don't want him to start off with a bad credit record and a eviction hanging over his head. They would have a terrible time finding any landlord to rent to them after the fact. It's just not worth it...it is better to leave.
Also...with not complying with what my boss wants only puts my job on the line. My son doesn't want me to lose my job as he knows I would be homeless again.
My husband has finally got the paperwork together to apply for Social Security/Disability. His doctors at the Veterans Admin told him to reapply as he would get it this time since he had 3 V.A. doctors to back him up on his disabilities. Social Security won't deny him this time as they had before and told him to go get a job sitting in a chair and sorting Almonds...but they told him to go learn to speak spanish before doing so. That's our wonderful system!! But if he gets it this time...he will have two incomes...V.A. Pension for being a Vietnam Vet which he already gets each month. Then social security. If and when he gets that...we are both out of here! We are right now living below the poverty line and with the help of SSI we will be just fine.
I am going to do everything possible to help my son and his fiance find a place, and I have several other good friends helping me also. They already got two offers for a room mate deal with my neice and another friend who won't see them in the streets. So those are good options.
We are going to try and repair the already damaged trailer so that we can get as much money as possible for them when they make this move. It's just bad timing for all this to happen. She's pregnant and we can do anything about that..I am mad that they didn't be more responsible and use protection. They are just too young and not financially stable enough to go through this. It's just bad timing.
Thank you for all the prayers and hopefully something will turn out for them. As for myself..I don't care what happens to me, I have lived my life but I just don't want to see the kids suffer.
Tahnk you everyone!!
God Bless you all

I've been in horrible situations like this. One where it seems like the walls are closing in, and no matter how hard you try it's a constant struggle. Fortunately, I survived. It always seems like the good people get walked on, and a lot of the times it's because they do. What's most important is that we realize no matter how dark the tunnel gets, there will always be a light at the end.

No matter what my religious beliefs, I will pray things get better for you.

Thank you Lone...that is very sweet of you.
My husband and I struggled for 5 years being homeless, my heart will break to see my son and his new family have to go through the same.
Thank you for your prayers!

By the way..may I ask what religion you are?

I don't ascribe to any particular religion. The religion who's beliefs I agree with most is Taoism. I am also a fan of meditation (Zen Buddhism), even though I don't get enough time to practice it as much as I would like.

That is very interesting...reference to Yin and Yang...cool.

But with all good religions...I have to throw a punch line in there...

But it's funny that you mentioned Buddhism....
Every time the Jehovah Witnesses come knocking to our door, my husband always tells them....Sorry...But I am a devowed Buddhist.
They just look at him funny and leave...So I guess it works.

But back on to the norm...I think that is so awesome as your religion has so much repect for the earth and everything on it.

Greets Dear Kat,

You have my energy to lend to the other prayers here. I didn't know that, that kind of discrimination was allowed?

And I am sure that if they saw a tennants rights advisor he/she may be able to help in some way.

I will add my prayers to a positive happy solution to this situation. I am sure an invocation to Vasiariah and Rahmiel will assist in some way, they are angels of justice and compassion.

Many Blessings of Love for the best outcome,
Darryl

Yes, I enjoy Taoism a lot. The Tao Te Ching also reads very different compared to the scriptures of The Bible and The Koran. You could read the Tao Te Ching all in one day or it may take you a lifetime. People in the USA are too caught up in their own lives to understand the Eastern religions. I really feel for the people who work their butts off their whole lives only to end up heartbroken and unfulfilled when they retire or pass away.

If only we Americans would take time during the day to sit under a tree and read or meditate. Even if it is for a short time it's the fact that you're relaxing your mind and your body, it would do wonders for many people.

Awesome!! and you are so right...I am one prefect example...I have worked this job for too long without one day of vacation! DARN
I do however find my escape from the madness by going up to the Indian burial ground with Sage and pray while I look over the beautiful lake I live next to. I find it very spiritual there and alot of peace. I do enjoy the simple things in life, and I love nature.

You escape the madness by going into an Indian Burial ground with sage? You do understand how that would sound to the average person...

At least you're trying. You're getting out and praying, relaxing and revitalizing your mind and your soul. That's really all you need. There really isn't anything better than just sitting and clearing your mind of all it's clutter.

Actually people don't thinnk I am weird for using sage as it is used for cleansing the soul and the mind also. Just like when you use incense, I use sage...same thing. The indians used sage for many reasons such as cleansing the soul and being rid of evilness or negitive thoughts. In the American Indian culture..sage is used for ceremonial purposes and also to cleanse the soul and to aide in helping the spirits reach higher levels. When people die, we sometimes light a candle or insense, in the indian culture they light sage and place it by a grave. There is bundles of sage all over that hill that I go to excape the madness, native americans before me have placed the sage near the graves...I do the same.
I feel I am at peace with them and it is very spiritual. I feel so much better once I come down off that hill.
My spirit guide is Navajo Indian according to Darryl, and I think this is why I am drawn to that place. Darryl informed me that her name is Butterfly Maiden, which I do not doubt one bit...as when I am there I have butterflies all around the hill, there was one that even landed on my arm and just sat there. This was long before Darryl had told me of my spirit guide...now I know why I am surrounded by butterflies. Very spiritual!

I'm aware of the use of sage in purification and the cleansing of evil spirits or energies. What I was saying is that to a average person, who has very little interest in ghosts and spirits, heading to an Indian burial ground to relax sounds a little...out there.

Haha, of course I think that it's great you get to get out there and meditate.
